  • The TVR evaporator, or Thermal Vapour Recompression evaporator, is an efficient evaporation equipment that utilizes the siphon principle of ejector heat pumps to recover part of the secondary steam. According to theoretical calculations and practical experience, an ejector heat pump can entrain 0.3 kg of secondary steam with 1 kg of high-pressure steam. By adding an ejector heat pump to a plate-type evaporation system, it is equivalent to adding an additional effect of an evaporator. However, the investment cost of adding an ejector heat pump is much lower than that of adding an additional effect of an evaporator. By utilizing the principle of thermal recompression, the low-temperature steam is compressed, heated, and reused, thereby achieving the recycling of energy.

    Preheating

    Before entering the evaporator, the feed liquid typically passes through a preheater where it is preheated using another heat source to improve evaporation efficiency.

    Evaporation

    The preheated feed liquid enters the evaporator and is heated to its boiling point under appropriate pressure, forming water vapor and a concentrated liquid.

    Steam Compression

    The generated secondary steam is sent to a steam ejector and mixed with high-pressure, high-temperature steam, resulting in an increase in temperature and pressure.

    Heat Reutilization

    The mixed steam then enters the heater, providing a heat source for the evaporator and enabling the recycling of energy.

    Condensation and Discharge

    The heated steam condenses into water in the condenser, part of which can be recycled while the rest is discharged as wastewater.

    The TVR evaporator can save energy significantly by recycling the waste heat of secondary steam, and is suitable for evaporation concentration and crystallization separation in various industries. Its automatic control system is easy to operate, easy to clean, and compact in structure, suitable for applications with limited space.
